the main news is that we are finished with our new issue, chickfactor 16, at last. click here to read it all. sorry there is no print issue this time. there may be a small print run and there will be info here on how to obtain copies. or there may not be. we are sorry about this (but hey, we are giving it to you for free dude). there are many reasons why we aren't distributing it in the normal way.

in other news chickfactor recently hosted its fabulous annual party at bush hall in london. this time it was called 'mon gala papillons' (the name of one of our favorite lartigue photographs) and it featured television personalities, pipas, stevie jackson, mascott, and amy linton solo on friday, dec 10; and jens lekman, bridget st john, stuart moxham with louis philippe, bill wells trio, and stephanie says on saturday, dec 11. most of those in attendance seemed to agree that it was a damn good time. for us it was very exciting because 1. the TVPs had not played in 8 years and it was a shocker they even showed up. 2. pipas played their new rap song and made the indie kids wiggle. 3. stevie crooned his way into our hearts with a proper solo gig. 4. mascott played in london for the first time and dazzled the crowd. 5. amy linton proved that her aislers set material comes across beautifully on her own. 6. stephanie winter (stephanie says) has made a fantastic new album on grimsey records. 7. we had never seen bill wells trio before and it was really lovely. 8. bridget st john has finally matched her legendary status with a compelling live show. 9. stuart m should really get out and play more shows cause his stuff is tops. 10. jens lekman, wow, mr lekman, we love you.
